Class History FRESHMAN Remember September 6, 1967 — the first day of high school — searching on the third floor for your homeroom and later discovering it was in the basement? Could we ever forget that atomic bomb which exploded all our hopes for a 1967 Booster Day Float success? Remember being escorted at the Freshman Welcome by a Senior girl who was not only two feet taller but built heavier? Remember supplying lunches to the Student Patrol — just because your pass was three weeks old? What about those weekly bomb scares — none of which (unfortunately) were real? Remember deciding whether or not to work on tobacco — remember Mr. Bordeau saying sign up — or else? SOPHOMORE How about our Sophomore Social — Act I, when the kids showed but the band didn ' t — and Act II, when the band showed but the kids didn ' t? Airports are for planes, not for trains — remember proving this when our Turners locomotive " fell apart " coming down the hill on Booster Day? Or how about the snow sculpturing contest — when our VW magically became a snow castle? Remember " Show and Tell " in Sophomore Year English? How about our class rings — the graduating Seniors liked ' em and our class hated ' em! Do you remember trying to sing so- prano in chorus — and then being told to try singing tenor or bass? JUNIOR Junior year — and another advisor, and another principal. Do you remember sit- ting in assembly with your feet on the chair in front of you, eating cookies, and doing your homework — do you remember turning around and meeting Mr. Zywna face to face? How about the guy with the " big mouth " — who blew six horns at once? Do you remember the teachers ' lectures on " disgusting morals " — as you and your girlfriend strolled down the hall three feet apart holding hands? What about our Junior Prom All Night Party — when the girls traded in their gowns and flowers for jeans and a football? Do you remember the bat in 106 — and the scream that soon followed? Remember those long, drawn out nights re- hearsing for Junior Prize Speaking — remember supplying Mr. Meehan with cook- ies, cakes, apple pies, ice cream, hamburgers, etc.? " Guys and Dolls " was a great success and many lucky juniors were able to participate in this memorable event! SENIOR Finally, we hit Senior year — remember meeting our fourth class advisor? Could we ever forget applying to colleges in Colorado and Michigan — only to find yourself next fall at G.C.C.? Remember having your own locker for the first time — and then finding a Freshman stuck in the corner of it? Finally our Booster Day float was a success — remember " Brewing up a Victory " ? Remember getting back your Senior proofs — and realizing what you really look like? Remember taking the Betty Crocker Homemaker Test — and then finding out it was only for girls? Remember trying out for the Senior Play — and then wondering why you did? Remember reading this class history — and wondering how you ever made it through four years . . .?
