Do you remember being afraid to put your books in your locker cause somebody might steal them. Do you remember carrying 14 books. Remember wearing a white shirt and tie to the first dance and everyone else wore dungarees. Do you remember voting for people you didn ' t know and then realizing your mistake. Remember applying for tobacco and then wishing you hadn ' t. Remember swatting the flies away from our winning float. Do you remember the bomb scares every Friday. Do you remember the firemen when they found it in your locker. Do you remember having study in the auditorium when chorus was practicing. Do you remember having a sing-along. Remember planning the Sophomore Social, break¬ ing tradition and watching it flop. Or our class cheering at the top of our lungs and spelling " sophomore " wrong. Remember taking the N.E.D.T. test, and losing your board you had to write on. Do you remember seeing only seven juniors in¬ ducted into the National Honor Society and realizing you ' re not the only dumb one in the class. Do you remember the gym suit you never brought home. Do you remember when someone left a can of Right Guard in your locker — on purpose. Do you remember personal typing and the music. Do you remember when you got a detention for tap dancing. Do you remember becoming so frustrated in geometry that you stabbed yourself with your compass. Do you remember when he brought you the purple wrist corsage to match your yellow dress. Praying through those " easy " achievement tests. Remember your knees knocking through Junior Prize Speaking tryouts. Then came our last election still not knowing who we were voting for. Do you remember the float. Do you remember becoming so neurotic that you tied and fluffed every time you blew your nose. Hoping to meet yearbook deadlines the day before. Do you remember receiving the proofs of your graduation pictures and realizing just how ugly you really are " Preserve your memories They ' re all that ' s left you.
