SHIRLEY ANN GREENE Shirl She'r quiet, precire, and oh ro neat, But there'r loadr of fun underneath. Shirley belonged to the Home Economics Club in her Freshman year and in her Sophomore year was a J.V. cheerleader. She was a member of the Community Service and History Clubs and was one of our songsters in the Girls' Glee Club. In her junior year, Shirley ushered at graduation exercises and in her senior year was a Bank Day Cashier. DONALD PAUL GREENOUGH Scoop A merry heart doeth good like a medicine. Scoop played football his freshman year and his senior year, was on the track team for three years, played basketball for one year, and was a member of the T Club for one year. He was also a member of the Art Club, and History Club being vice-president of the latter his senior year. Scoop belonged to the Glee Club his junior year, ushered at various dances, and played the part of Clancy in the play, And Came The Spring. Scoop was also on the ticket committee for our senior play, The Barretts of Wimpole Street. MAUREEN FRANCES HANLEY Neenie If :he maker ur happy now, .vhe'll make ur happy twenty yearr hence hy the memory of it. Neenie's jovial manner made her a welcome member of many clubs. She was in the Community Service, Art, and History Clubs, and she was treasurer of the Frerth Club during her junior year. In addition, she sang in the Girls' Glee Club for three years and was section leader her senior year. She was an active guard in intramural basketball. Neenie also served on the decoration committee for the Sophomore Social and ushered at graduation and class day in her junior year. Neenie was a ticket seller for the senior play, The Barretts of Wimpole Street. NANCY HASTINGS Nance Be alwayr ar merry ar ever you can. Nance was a member of the Home Economics Club her freshman year and for three years was a member of the Girls' Glee Club and the Community Service Club. She was also on numerous committees for dances and on the nominating committee for class oli- cers. Nance portrayed Sylvia in the play Our Miss Brooks, and she was secretary to Miss Clark. 25

KAY NELLIE FOLK Bounty in uforh and effort made honorable. Kay took part in many clubs throughout her high school years. She was in the Home Economics Club, Community Service Club, History Club and Art Club. Being very artistic, Kay served on various decoration committees and was chairman of the Freshman Hop. In commercial work, she was a Bank Day Cashier and secretary to Mr. Fugere. Kay was also on the ticket committee for our senior play, The Barretts of Wimpole Street. CHRISTIAN FRITZ Buddy Born for success, he seemed with grace to win and heart to hold. Buddy played great football for four years at Turners Falls High. He ushered at the junior Prom and was elected President of our History Club his senior year. He also was an active member of the T Club for three years. DONALD GELINAS Gelly A good man ir rather to he chosen than great richer. Donald was extremely active in the field of sports. He played football, basketball, and baseball and also was on the track team for four years. In addition, he belonged to the French Club for one year and the T Club for three years. EDNA GENDREAU Politene.f.r goer far, yet costs nothing. Edna came to our high school in her senior year and therefore had little chance for our activities. She formerly lived in Townsend and spent her first three years of high school there, where she was a cheerleader. We were very glad to have Edna join our class and this year she became a member of our History Club. 24

ALICE JACKSON Sis Laugh and he merry Betterthe world with a Jong. Sis was one of our peppiesr basketball players being a member of the Varsity squad for four years. During her sophomore year she was a twirler in the band. Sis was also a member of the Art and Glee Clubs. She has been on quite a few decorating committees and was secretary to Mrs. Reidy. Sis was also on the make-up crew for our senior play, The Barretts of Wimpole Street. DUNSTON GREY JACKSON, JR. Dunny He fills hir lifetime with deedr not with inactive years. Dunny will be remembered for the way he was always willing to lend a hand. He was a member of the History Club his senior year and was on the Netop and Yearbook Staffs. Most of his spare time was spent in helping to decorate for many dances. He was also stage manager of the play, And Came The Spring, and for our senior play, The Barretts of Wimpole Street as well. DONALD FRANCIS KELLY Simp A little nonrente now and then can do little harm. Simp played basketball for four years and he was elected captain of the basketball team his senior year. He also was on the football team for two years and went out for track his senior year. He was a member of the T Club and History Club. Besides these he ushered at several dances and portrayed Buzz Lindsay in the play, And Came The Spring. DOLORES KENDROW Dodo Alwayt a helping hand to a friend in trouble. Dodo was a member of the Home Economics Club, Girls' Glee Club, and the Com- munity Service Club. She also belonged to the French Club and was a Bank Day Cashier for two years. Ushering at the Sophomore Social and secretary to Miss Purrington were also to be found on her list of school activities. 26
