Principalis Message FAITH, HOPE AND COURAGE The atom-powered submarine Nautilus has com- pleted man's first voyage under the Arctic lce Cap. An atomic explosion may blast a new harbor For Alaska. Frontiers of outer space have been breached. Twentieth Century technology, which has brought mankind so many blessings, has also increased man 's power to do evil. The forces of good and evil hang in precarious balance. Young men and women, you will assume the privi- leges and responsibilities of citizenship in a few short years. You will need to be wiser, more patient, and of keener vision than the present generation. You will require a deep sense of moral responsibility. The compelling problem of our time is how to employ human intelligence for the salvation of mankind. Faith, hope and courage must go hand in hand with understanding and dedication. John H.
