Associated Student Body .... Inspired hy the leadership of Jim Jessup, the Associated Student Body of Turlock Union High School has signed "Finish to another successful school year. A major step taken was the amendment of the constif tution concerning the addition of one representative from hoth the Scholarship and Junior Statesmen to the Executive Committee. Charlie Warda, Jim Schaller, Clarence Rodriek, Dick Sawyer, Mr, Pitman, John Hardin, Virginia Jones, Diane Jessen, Marlene Carlquist, Wes Wallstrom, Jim Jessup, Austin Cowan, Jackie Smith, Haig Asdurian, Marge Johnson, Bethayne Fredstrom. Something new in the form of an organized plan for the distrihution of Student leadership was one of the new ideas adopted hy the Executive Committee, consisting of seventeen memhers elected hy the Student Body. Since, in the past, leadership has heen dependent on a few students, this plan was adopted and put into practice, thus trying to distrihute the offices to other eapahle students. Upon the departure of Charles F. Perrott, principal, and Margaret Swanson, office secretary, gifts were presented to each hy the Student Body. Student Body officers were: Jim Jessup, president: Wes Vxfallstrom, vice president: Jackie Smith, secretary: Haig Asdurian, treasurer: Stanley Sondeno, assistant treasurer: Cedric Benjamin, Jim Conover and Del Julien, yell leaders: Arlene Weir and Grace McDannald, song leaders.
