Message to The Seniors .....
TIME
live in deeds, not yearsg in thoughts, not
hreathsg in feelings, not in figures on a dial. We
should count time hy heartfthrohs. He most lives,
who thinks most, feels the nohlest, acts the hestf'
--From 'AFestus" hy Philip Bailey..
Time is supreme, time is eternity. Too often
we censure Mother Nature for a span of time too
short. Yet short as time is we find it tedious, too,
and we use every invention and expedient to lash
the passing moments into greater speed. How
thoughtless, thankless and inconsistent we are.
Queen Elizaheth's last words were, 'gall my posf
sessions for a moment of time." Perhaps we would
he much happier if we lived each moment, each
hour, each day as if it were the last.
Few of us realize the value of the present moment. The thing at hand is the one thing hest worth doing, the people
around us are the folks hest worth helping, and the hit of sod under our feet is the sweetest in the world. Do not
minimize your talents and powers. Make determined and cheerful use of them. Too many folks wait until they
possess more knowledge, more skill, more moneyg or wait until they live among a different set of people or in a differ'
ent town or until they have a different health or temperament, hefore they attempt to accomplish something.
No amhition for greatness is worth cherishing if it intcreferes with a full employment of tofdayis opportunities.
The path of success in the future is the path of present faithfulness!
john H. Pitman.
