Soon they will be leaving for- ever their high school days; some bound for college or technical schools, others joining the work force and seeking ca- reers. All will be entering a new, excit- ing world quite different from their school environment. As a class, these people have worked together to organize their sandwich sale, class dance and play, and ad book and yearbook sales. The profit they made went to pay for their class trip and grad- uation expenses. Now they stand expectantly on the threshold of a new life. Their future stands before them . . . waiting. Miss Chesonis: The most enjoyable thing about teaching is getting the students to handle situations which would occur in offices and watching their reactions, or seeing someone finally learn how to type who never had a knowl- edge of it before. The Home Economics course pro- vides practical experience for the girls involved. They learn cooking, baking, sewing, family relations, and crafts such as crocheting, crewel, knitting, and rug and candle making. What are you crocheting? Planting For The Future Are you back again?! Mr. Barry Kellner teaches biology and industrial arts to some freshmen classes, and tenth grade agriculture. What happened? Mr. Michael Orendo teaches agricul- ture, farm mechanics, horticulture. He advises FFA. Basic plant, animal, soil sciences and animal nutrition are taught in agriculture. The purpose of the indust- rial arts course is to acquaint all students with tools and their safe and efficient use, to teach them to use their hands crea- tively, and to teach them basic skills used in industry. Instructing The Fine Arts Which flute hit the C-sharp? Much time is spent by the band and chorus in preparation for the Christmas and spring concerts. In addition to rehearsals, instrumen- tal instruction is given to band members. Mr. Kremser: The satisfaction of a fine performance by the chorus. We faltered in the middle of the season with losses Kutztown and Fleetwood, and a tie with Weiser. The Trojans recorded three league shut-outs, placed second in the rLcbco Tournament and third in the Tulpchockcn Tournament. Our league record was 10-3-1; the overall record was -5-1. However, we lost our division by a single point. Mike Rollman broke the school scoring record with 18 goals.
