CLASS COLORS: Blue and White. CLASS FLOWER: Red Rose. One bright, sunny morning in September, l952, twelve meek, but challenging freshmen climbed the steps of Tulare High School. They were: Elna Hull, Janice Schultz, Lance Otto, Harold Ost, Bernard Schleder, Dona Radcliffe, Regena Frankenstein, Shirley Stoner, Abbie Haag, Keith Lau, Kenneth Buchholz, and Janice Binger. The first highlight of our freshman year was initiation in which we honored the upper classmen with a program and they returned the honor with a party that evening. During the freshman year Keith, Kenneth, Bernard, and Lance participated in boys' phys. ed. Janice Binger, Shirley, Abbie and Regena took part in girls' phys. ed. All the girls were in Glee Club. Kenneth was a member of the quartet and octet. Janice Binger, Kenneth, Elna, Regena and Abbie participated in band. Dona and Elna took part in de clam. Abbie was chosen class president. Elna Hull took part in the senior play. Our king and queen candidates were Kenneth Buchholz and Shirley Stoner. We ended our first year of high school with a picnic at Ruskin Park. The entire class returned for the sophomore year. Janice Binger, Janice Schultz, Abbie, Shirley and Dona participated in phys. ed. Keith, Kenneth, and Lance.again took part in boys' phys. ed. Kenneth Buchholz was chosen for the cast in the senior play.. Harold was elected class president. Our king and queen candidates were Janice Binger and Harold Ost. To bring the year to a close, we went to Watertown for our school picnic. All the sophomores returned for their iunior year with the exception of Keith Lau who returned in the second semester. Janice Binger, Shirley, and Abbie again participated in girls' phys. ed. Shirley was chosen cheerleader. Kenneth, Harold, Keith and Lance again took an active part in boys' phys. ed. Harold and Kenneth were elected as "T" Club officers. All the girls participated in Glee Club. Janice Binger, Elna, Regena and Abbie were members of the high school band. The All-Star Trio furnished the dance music. The school year ended with a picnic filled with fun at Cotton- wood Lake . Cn September, l956, the dignified senior class entered their names upon the Scroll of Tulare High School. The same students participated in boys' phys. ed., vocal, and band. Janice Schultz was drum maiorette. Harold and Kenneth were again elected as "T" Club officers. Janice Binger, Abbie, Shirley, and Regena took part in girls' phys. ed. Certain events that occurred during our high school years have left a great impression on us. Among them were the Sweethearts Ball, the annual Christmas parties, class parties, and the prom. The Student Council was very active in planning our school parties.
