GRADUATE SCHGOL - UNIVER ITY COLLEGE Graduate work at Tulane began in 1883, Courses of study leading to the degrees of Master of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Fine Arts, and Doctor of Philosophy are now of- fered. Admission to the Graduate School usually depends upon a better than average record in undergraduate school. Steady emphasis is placed upon research training. University College is the evening and adult education di- vision of Tulane University. It offers degrees in the fields of President DeYoung and Dean Dyer of University College President Bailin and Dean Lumiansky of Graduate School liberal arts, commerce, medical technology and nursing. It also offers introductory courses in the Helds of engineering and architecture. The faculty is made up of members of the various University faculties plus lecturers from the community outside the University.
