Edwardine Meyers. One beautiful autumn day in Gila Crossinei when the 399195 were turnine 'red and the mesquite trees shedding their leaves, O . there came the most wierd howl across the distant plain. Everyone l t iti was found that the-nfiren was only looked around for smoke. bu ' Edwardine Meyers b.img born. Then on another beautiful autumn day, her little feet went padding :down the road to the Casa Blanca Day School. I guess she made it all right because in the seventh grade she had to catch a bus to attend ?ima Central School in Sacaton. Later in l945 she was so proud, because this time it was a Grey- hound bus she had to some to school in. She was a freshman when she came to Tucson Indian Sehoela and through all these years was a very enjoyable person to have around. Ed, as she is called by most, has a wide variety of diver- sions. Among her favorite are reading, sewing, art, and music. It seems that if you put anything sweet before her she'll devour it in a wink. At first we thought it was beanse-now We know ifvs Sweets. Ed is a member of the Escuela Band Qplaying the bass horn, as maybe some of the boys didn't knowf and a membgp of the Senior Choir. She is class secretary-treasu er and has been for the last four YGQTS CSO you see how we trust herb, Rdwardine has many ambitions and we hope she will succeed in whatever she may choose to do. OREEN 5. BLACKWATER It was a cold day, maybe snowing, on the Blackwater Reeeryem tion when Green was born. After that there was no more snow to be seen in Blackwater. As soon as she wee old enough 0reen'e proud parents sent her to school in Blackwater. During all this time she was attaining a large vocabulery.V She attended schools in Blackwater and Coolidge Public Schools before coming to the Tucson Indian Scheel, joining the forty-miners. Dnring her years here et Escuela Green has taken interest in many of the school ectivities, Ae e freshmen end sophomore she sang in the Senior Choir. n,.qL In her Junior year she was class repre- sentative to Student Councils She end Henry Jose were chosen to lead the Senior Claes of '43 on Commencement Dey, In the Senior Westminster Fellowship Greup Green is now on the Outreach Commission and she has gone out with e group on the reser- vation.
