New schools, churches and hospitals are needed everywhere, especially overseas where many schools, churches and hospitals, were destroyed during World War Il. The United States government is helping ell it can in bringing peace to people abroad, Some of them were once our enemies. Now we must help them rebuild . Q 7 n ' Jesus said. FOUNDATION , Builders and building is the central thought within this yearbook. Here we are laying our foundation and starting to build. We build and grow physically by daily exercise, mentally by attending classes, socially by learning how 'to live happily with other people, and spiritually by participating in reli- gious services, through music, and by grasping the Word with- in our hearts. I We of the lndian race of today are important figures of a great mass of people striving for a better standard of ci- vilization. If we are to fit our talen 5 and abilities into the rising structure of building we must not just sit' back and grab what is handed down to us, but we must make full use of what is given to us, and build on that, so that in turn we can help in the world's building itoward peace and brother- hood, and show other people around us, Wherever we are, the abundant life that Jesus spoke about. - Whenever you pick up this book may it again stir the pathways of your mind and set you to building your ideals one 'by one which will be part of the big blue-print of achieve- x ments necessary to award honor to you, to your race, to your country,'and, the greatest of' all, to God.
