ORTON This year Truesdell has developed a new system of administration. The school has been divided into three sections. The 9th Grade Center, the 8th Grade Center, and the 7th Grade Center. Each center is provided with a vice-principal, and a secretary. The main office is used for handling bullitens, making announcements and taking care of all school affairs. This is Dr. Mortons first year as principal at Truesdell. As a former student, he said he liked it then, and he likes it now. He handles many of the discipline problems, using his best judgement in each case. He makes many important decisions for Truesdell. if ml MAIN OFFICE The Main Office consisted of two secre- taries, pictured below. It also had several proctors. They did a great job taking care of school finances and other major details. Ruth Feidler Carlene Smith Proctors from left to right: top row: Sheila Hearne, Beth Albers, Brian Todd, Mark Lowry. They were as follows: Top Row Lto R: Christy Schmeidler, Cassandra Thompson, Dena Hammer, Bottom Row Lto R: Lisa Goodrum, Jodi Fisher, JoAnn Aguilera. They cheered to help provide our teams spirit, and sup- port our teams great victories. Towards the end of the basketball season, one of the cheerleaders had to quite the squad and a new member was added, Rhoda McWilliams. Much more work was involved than simply standing in front of a crowd screaming at the top of their lungs. They spent long hard hours practicing and perfecting stunts, jumps, and various pyramids. They did a great job and so did their sponsor, Kris Helsel. Good luck to the 1981-81 cheerleaders!!!!! 73 POIVI-P0 This years Pom-Pon Squad con- sisted of 25 Freshman, and 12 Eigth graders. The squad worked very hard by sponsoring a carwash at Big Cheese one Saturday, to help pay for the new uniforms. They also went to Kake Kalides- cope and performed to their great- est abilities, to please those await- ing students watching them back at school. Toward the end of the basket- ball seasons, a few problems arised, and a few of the squad members quit. This was very hard on the rest of the squad, and made it difficult to do some of the rou- tines, but they managed to pull through it. They were all acknowl- edged for their amount of spirit, and impressive performances. Good luck to the 1981-82 squadlllllll "THANKS DADl!!!" ENRICHMENT COURSES Friends Do you know who your friends are, can you tell me? Is there a long list or just two or three? Are they there when you need to talk, or when you say I need you, do they walk? Are they close in times of distress, or do you hear a voice saying get yourself out of your own mess? Friends are hard to keep and trust, no matter how close you think you are, things tend to rust. So before you embrace your close friends make sure they'll be true to no endlllll Written by, Natalie Aramburu Tl f'7 m?.L5Q . K N t 'Fira' 9 - Q - A . .
