Mr. West Ends Long Memorable Career, Two Art Teachers New To Troy High. In the Art Department, the familiar faces of Mr. Clark and Mr. Rogers were replaced by two new colorful teachers. Mr. Delmar Preston, coming here from Huntington, West Virginia, did equally well with the paint brush and on the ball diamond, being baseball coach also. Mr. J. Morris Bailey, who taught in the elementary last year, took over the junior high art and high school crafts, as well as revolutionizing the dramatics department. However, in the Music Department, Mr. Charles West ends his thirty-four years of teaching, twenty 'IN-ef of them at Troy. He received his Bachelors' at Miami, his Masters' at Ohio State, and studied further at the University of Pennsylvania and Christiansen Choir School. In his third year here he began the A Cappella Choir, followed in six years by the now historical Trojanaires, with whom he toured Canada and the United States on nine sum- mer singing trips. His last direction of the A Cap- pella Choir at Commencement brought tears of nostalgia to the eyes of many. Seated: Charles E.
