It seems that our Girls' Glee Club has also kept their music work in their hearts in such 'i way tl.at they have become one of the most outstanding., clubs in our school. This year the club numbered more members than ever before and with the direction of their very capable and talented direcri r, Nli:s Ventry the girls felt that they had accomplished quite a bit. The club had several interastinf activities this year. .Xinong them was the chapel program given at the State Teachers College in Xlurfreesboro. They again entered the Interscholastic contest held here in our gymnasium. :Xlso the girls again had their annual trip to Llarkswille for the spring festival held at the .Xustin leay Normal College, At all of their actiiities they received much en- couragement and many compliments. The girls composing the trio area are also to be congratulated on the harmony that their voices pour forth. This year the trim had the privilege of singing with an outstanding orchestra in Mur- freesboro and also at the Noel Hotel in Nashville besides appearing vsith the Glee Llub at various programs and contests. Certainly with the hard work the girls do and with the determination that they have, they will no doubt go places and try to fill the expectations of the people. Another part of the Glee Club that is well known, is the solo work done by Eudora Dickens. "Dodie" is the Kate Smith of T.C.H.S. and with her lovely voice she has won several contests, be- sides the applause of her audiences. The six girls composing the sextette of the Glee Club, blended their voices so well that all au- diences enjoyed listening to them sing. Indeed the club should be congratulated on their singing ability and anyone agrees that they leave a perfect and enviable example each year for all the Glee Clubs that follow them ..38... ss l O ' x , x .
