BQBBYIQWJEBSTEEQ MR. IRVIN A. SHVMMIN Dear Editor Wilma: You, the Telescope Staff and your faculty advisor, Mr. Herkenhoff, have accepted a great challenge in publishing this yearbook. We compliment all of you for the fine service performed. Recording and depicting student life is an effective means of devel- oping your creative leadership. Our board of trustees, through its administrators and teachers, recognizes the many values which come from participating in student activities, including this one of yours. You lift the horizons and outlook of all by identifying our students. You develop a wholesome attitude toward work by your conscious attention to each day's details. You set a pattern for high ideals in our students by a proper selection of the events reported. You help to bring about an understanding in the field of human relationships by search- ing for those almost hidden emotional responses which characterize youth's quest for discovery. Accept our heartiest congratulations for producing this 1950-1951 living high school account. IRVIN A. SHIMMIN Disfrirf S1lfIl'1'il1f!'Hll'l'71f 7

Various other improvements have been made to the athletic plant and equipment. Several new school rooms will be added before the fall term is in session. We very reluctantly accepted the resignation of our Superintendent, Irvin Ai Shimmin, who has served us so faithfully and efhciently. He has our best wishes in his new position which he has surely earned. Full cooperation has been given the School Board by the faculty, the community advisory committee and Home School Association. Congratulations and best wishes go with those graduating and also to those who as members of the armed services will be graduating in absence with their classmates.
