ey Know heir Ropes Forty-two Lois Lyons was chosen as Searles Valley's representative in the Lions Oratorical Contest. Easily winning over regional competition she went on to represent Trona in the state finals at Catalina this spring. Lois' success in last year's play prepares us for he-r speaking prowness. The winner of the annual scholar- ship given by the Searles Lake Scholarship Federation for 1947 was Ross Durland. Ross' high grade re- cord together with his history of leadership at Trona High School assures us that his university work will be filled with success.
