Men in offices throughout the ship co- ordinate officer and enlisted per- sonnel records, handle clerical and administrative work for the ship, and training and education, as well as legal actions and welfare matters. Also under X Division is the Print Shop, Captain's Office, Pub- lic Affairs Office and the Master- at-Arms force. Along with all these duties, men from the division also served as stretcher-bearers on medical evacuation teams, assisting wound- ed Marines to waiting medical facilities.
