Our first formal assemhly invited us Io renew tht- pledge of allegiance to our sehool, and of fidelity to the ohligation of upholding tht- fine reputation and ideals which are 'I'rinity's prit-I-It-ss treasures. We witnessed, too, the installation of the new ollicers of the Student Council. This organization. wisely en- couraged hy the faculty and cherished hy the student body at large, is an essential part of our school struc- ture, functioning as an added link ht-tween an already united administration and general school population. This yearis leaders, president. vice-president. and representatives from each elass, faithfully maintained the fine traditions established in the past. and eaeh hy a unique and extremely valuahle eontrihution. added to the effectiveness of a valuable institution. At the same time. they received an opportunity for the exer- cise of recognized capacities of leadership, and at training in their duties toward. and dependence on, the girls whom they represented. ,N 23

L-I ARTS AND CRAFTS club members put charity into action as Theresa Gaftigan, Pat Flashell, vice-president, Jean Green, and Carol Ann Fritzges aid president Emma Jane Shilling in sorting handmade clothing for the Southern Missions. Secre- tary Lynne Kelly records their progress. PLANNING THE FUTURE seems pleasing to Career Club panelists. Courtnaye 0'Donnell, Ann Finnerty, secretary, Louise Gilner, Angela NIcKenna, and Mary Pat Robe, vice-president. Mary Katherine Grim, president, proves an efficient moderator. CLUBS Everybody looks .forward each week to Thursday's club meetings. Opportunities for promoting further interest in current events are available in the Debating Cluhg the artistically-minded find many outlets in the Arts and Crafts Clubg the Camera Club caters to photography fansg while suggestions for vocations after graduation are oHered by members of the Career Club. Since these activities are not limited by class boundaries, each girl may find enjoyment pursuing the field of her choice. SUE HOLLENSHADE, president, directs the pros and cons as Eileen Blatthews voices her opinion on the current topic of debate. Eager listeners are hlargaret Rose lNIc-Kenna, Penny Richardson. Barbara Gittings, vice-president, Anne Carle, secretary, and Sue Bollinger. 'llhe annual Tea and Fashion Show, enjoyed alike by students and their mothers, featured this year crea- tions from 'fla Maison de l'Or.7, In a garden party setting, our guest narrators saw the newest of the new. and commented appropriately on wardrobes for the coed, the career girl, the maid of honor. and even the bride.
