During the past few years there has been the rather
unfortunate attitude amongst the senior forms of Over-
looking school work in favour of finding more enjoyable
Ways to pass the time. I do not say that too much em-
phasis has been placed on sports, for that is not the -case
at T.C.S. It is simply that many boys devote hours of
study time to doing absolutely nothing. The Senior Matri-
culation year is perhaps one of the most diflicult and try-
ing of a boy's schooling, and for that very reason it should
be the year in which a maximum effort is exerted by the
student. It is naturally diflicult in October and November
to think of exams that do not come until June, and con-
sequently this time of year is the most difficult in which
