Janice Forrester, Editor-in-Chief THE DEN STAFF PORTRAYS THE SCHOCL YEAR Unknown to many, the work and planning for the 1967 DEN began early last spring. Advertisements were sold, layouts were planned, and work began for the next year- book even before the current one had arrived from the publishers. Bringing ne honors to Trezevant this year from All-West Tennessee Contest were: :I McRae, First chair trombone mis Beatty, Second chair trombone Howerton, Third chair trombone ce Elrod, Alternate trombone tdy Roy, Second chair baritone iie Cox, Sixth chair All-State Daul McRae also ranks in the top three airs in the All-State Contest. THE TREZEVANT HIGH SCHOOL CONCERT BAND A superior rating was awarded to Trezevant's Concert Band last year in the West Tennessee Concert Band Contest. They also won a second rating at Clarksville in the Middle Tennessee Concert Band Contest.

Pauline Weaver and Ginny Slayman had to make many decisions, as they searched through various pictures for our features. Assistant Editors, Jackie Mitchell and Marie Gillespie, worked closely with all the staff members. Our deadlines could never have been met without their versatile assistance. gy? Q L, , e staff photographer, David Unsell, confers with Janice in regard to a picture uedule. Many of the candid photos found throughout the book were taken by Kid. This is the first year our Annual has been provided a camera, and we have n grateful for this asset. It wasn't long after work began in Sep- tember that everyone realized how much like a well-oiled machine the staff func- tioned, although things grew tense near our four deadlines. Now the last flashbulb has popped, the hectic routine of layouts and identification has ceased, and the last deadline is finally finished. The staff has enjoyed working together on this publication, and we of the 1967 DEN are proud of our work and hope the spirit of Trezevant has been success- fully captured so that students will be happily reminded of the events that made 1966-67 the year it was. Kenleta Bearden, Paula Daniels, Rod Mar- bry, and Ellen Kimery worked very dili- gently on the various Class Sections.
