THE BAND ENCOURAGE ' , Trezevant's Marching Band won a superior rating this year at the Memphis State University Band Contest. JUNIOR NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY Scholarship Leadership Service Citizenship Character All of these are characteristics of a member in the Junior National Honor Society. Scholarship is first. One must have a B average to be eligible for membership. After a list is composed of those eligible, it is sent to the students' teachers. The teachers vote on the students on the above char- acteristics. Those with the highest votes are in- ducted. The percent of' members inducted each time is determined by the number of students of that grade already in the Honor Society. L.

Bringing ne honors to Trezevant this year from All-West Tennessee Contest were: :I McRae, First chair trombone mis Beatty, Second chair trombone Howerton, Third chair trombone ce Elrod, Alternate trombone tdy Roy, Second chair baritone iie Cox, Sixth chair All-State Daul McRae also ranks in the top three airs in the All-State Contest. THE TREZEVANT HIGH SCHOOL CONCERT BAND A superior rating was awarded to Trezevant's Concert Band last year in the West Tennessee Concert Band Contest. They also won a second rating at Clarksville in the Middle Tennessee Concert Band Contest.
