I0 Shockey S Spaghetti House abranch from the great stung of Shockey s Hamburger Hacrendas rn the U S After enjoymg a delrcious meal, we stepped outside the door to hear the strarns of an organ grrnders musrc The organ grrnder was oddly dressed rn a red surt wrth numerals on the back We asked her what her name was and also what was the name of the cute lrttle monkev on the leash She sard her name was Gerry Ash and the monkey was an old pet whose name was Stanley Graham Regretfully leavrng the organ grinder and her monkey behrnd, we progressed on down the street to the publrc square where an old woman was grving a speech A sign was narled on the box on which she was standrng It read Madame Frisby the Greatest Orator on Earth as she never had to stop talkrng to take a breath There was a huge crowd gathered around composed of all sorts of odd characters For rnstance there was a woman try rug to sell all sorts of patent medicines wrth the labels Shrrley Toth s Pep U Uppo She was qutte a character After leaving Italy Paris, France was on the agenda We made a tour by night so we could see the srghts All the guides said to go to Pat Keefe s Capenng Cuties So we did They were a set of girls whose names were Lorrarne Richter Betty Loman, Phyllis Conley, and Nancy Prater They really drd a swell Job of lacking and stepprng We arose bnght and early the next momrng to go to Germany On the way to the Arrport, we passed the Rrvrera Runway owned by Don Scholl the retrred millronalre who made hrs fortune from pinball machines That ls now rllegal so Scholl is the last of the pinball lungs At the stop in Germany, we vlsrted the lnngvrew lnstrtute, where we lntervrewed Prof Cox, popularly called the mad scientist, and hrs colleague Richard Hammond, the famed chemist On the way to the Belgran Congo we stopped rn to hear the Swiss Yodelers, Helen Day, Loretta Clair Barbara Lehman, and Edna Taylor They were pretty good, although they started an avalanche rn the Alps At the Belgian Congo we went on a tour through the steamrng Jungle Jungle Jim Woodrey escorted us through the snake infested swamps for about a mrle but had to back down and come back We couldn t stand the putnd smells It seemed that Jungle Jrm had accrdentally come across hrs own strll ludden deep rn the Jungle whrch accounted for the putrrd smells On the way out of the Belgian Congo we passed an orphanage for lost natrves, run DY Pocahontus Hogsten She had several of her own little natives to add to the brood We were Just about ready to head for home but wanted to stop at Mexrco frrst to see the famous cross country car races As Busenbark Boy was an entry we thought it would be great fun It was Lester Kehr who in hrs youth had been a professronal drag racer on Mrltonvrlle Prke But before we got to the track, we had to buy rnsurance from a Mr David Conarroe He sard rt was dangerous to enter Mexico wrthout traveler s insurance There were so many crooks there trying to get our money QBy the way, the polrcy cost S750 3 We broke away from Old Mexrco and came home through Texas We stayed overnrght with the Reeces who owned erght large ranches rn Texas We were awakened early the next momrng by Mrs Reece who had to get up to nulk the cows Mrs Reece was the former Judy Gaymann, a typrst from Bell Telephone Leavmg Texas we arrived back in Ohio with missron completed But before I checked in at the office I took my radro to Gingnch s Radro and Televrsron Reparr Shop He humedly reparred rt and as I was rushing back to the offrce my enthusiasm got the best of me and Iheard a motorcycle cop s srren behind me I pulled over prepared to argue but was too surpnsed to finish The cop was a lady Her badge number was 32932 and her name was Dons Lrcklrter She could hardly walk over to me as her legs were so bowed from ridmg motor cycles Sre gave me a ticket for twenty years and I continued to the office wlth another job well done . . . . - ' . . . ,, . . . - a . 0 I o .
