Like the Pilgrims of old, we can thank the Almighty for the abund- ance of things given us. Farmers have harvested a good crop and have received a fair price for most of it. Ranchmen, too, have realized a good price for their livestock, and diseases among the cattle have been light. More oil wells have been added to the school district. Health for the community has been generally good, and we believe there has been an improvement in esthetics as well. Prosperity is evident all about us. The school, too, has made progress. The district has been enlarged and many physical im- provements have been made. Nearly every child has made a progress in learning and under - standing. We have learned to live together. There has been but little discipline trouble. To live together in peace means growth in understanding. When misunderstandings arise, trouble and back-biting sets in. We have received compliments at many different places on our students' well-behaved manners. When you are complimented, the teacher is indirectly commended, Your praise is our joy. It is the wish of the Superintendent that the school will continue to prosper. That each of you willgrow into men and women of noble character--'tall men, sun crowned', and that our mutual love will be stronger by having associated together this year. .LA-if I Dedication To the members of the administration and faculty of Trent High School, and to those citizens of Trent, who have helped in the building and progress of this school, the 1950 edition of the Trent Gorilla is respect- fully dedicated.
