f the three diplomas, General Diploma was probably the most misunderstood. Many people thought that students who were on this diploma didn’t care about their academics. This was not true. In reality, most students took General Diploma because they didn’t have room in their schedules for all the necessary courses of College Prep or Business Diplomas, or they majored in some sort of music or took TBA courses. This diploma allowed them the free time for those pursuits plus it prepared them with a basic education in the academics, making college still possible for those in pursuit of higher instruction. 1.
