Hey!! This isn't the place. O11, it's the Infirmary, or so 1'm informed by Miss BETTY STUCK head nurse. Excited whispers led me to the bedside of my ole' side kick JO ANN KOHL. who was i11 serious condition. Two nurses GEORGIA McCLUN, and LUCILLE SPENCER, hovered around, so I'd o11ly time to get one item of gossip betore my departure. My, it is interesting to know that CHARLES BLAKELY is haunting COLLEEN CONNOLLYRS sorority house. Now, where is that "cafeter1a"? Finally admitting that I was lost, I turned to inquire the way. Wl1y, JOAN HERTZLER, I hardly recognized you with that red hair. While I was explaining my problem to 11er, I saw the twosome "PETE" PETERSON and BARBARA WERTZ pass. Tho' I tl.ll'l'leCl to speak, they were much too engrossed to notice me. O11 the instructions give11 me, I started my j'1unt to the Cafeteria. Food 'it last. The 'vaitress, ANN ARP, recommended the chef's special, sauerkraut and cream puffs. The chel, BILL BEARDSLEY, had perfected this dish after many year's struggle. UIJUII strolling around the campus, before tl1e evenings entertainment, m'1ny interesting oddities caught my eye. The quaint Tc'1 Shop of BEVERLEY SAWYER 'llld SHIRLEY KIT- l'RIuDGE. INC., was being run by '1 special manager, IDA LOU HESTEAD. Her right-l1'ind IIYIII, MARGE HEINZ, was engrossed in mixing a special batter of Hart-tarts. Weary alter a day's stroll, we dropped in at the Hot-Lip Opera house, where the special entertainment for tl1e evening was being staged by MEL TITCHENERS traveling troup. As I entered a solo by ARDALE VONDRA was holding the audiences rapt attention. Secondly, there appeared on the stage a ballerina dance, by DON SPENCE and BOB SMITH, which held all the audience i11 "tip-toe" excitement. Tl1e main feature, Romeo and Juliet, was tl1e11 per- formed by BESSIE LAY and BOB KIRKPATRICK. The three C's 1CLINGENPEEL, CLOOS and CORDOVAI next sang the ever popular composition of "Oh, Brother, Let Me Oul ol' Here," by CLIFFORD NEWTON. As tl1e final curtain closed, the six piece all-girl oichestra, MARIE ZAVORKA. MARY MILLER. EMMA SCHUMACHER, ELANORA ERNST, ARLENE WEICKUM, and BETTY WICKS, led by the women's ideal, ELMER HANSON, played "Show Me the Way to Go Home." THS BLAZER Page Sixty Seven - '. -- ' . , .'.
