The varsity team of 7 consisted of Len Ehlers, Tom Harnmack, Sanford Smith, lack Tippin, Don Mitchell, Bill LaDuke, and foe Gilstrap. We defeated all the Bay League schools except Mira Costa. Several individual trophies were Won, The lunior Varsity, consisting of Dennis Hansen, Robert Rodriguez, Bert Raiche, lim Kasterko, Charles Sherfey, Dick Ryan and Tom Carter, had a successful season, capped with lst place in the Morningside Invitational Meet. Shining stars on the Varsity were Larry Denning, who broke the school pole vaulting record and placed 2nd in the Bay League finals, Larry Galloway finished 3rd in the shot put and Len Ehlers 2nd in the Bay League Mile.
