If H C U L T Y I hope to grow old gracefully, reveling in the triumphs of my daughter, and attempting to write the Great Hmerican Novel, but I suppose I'll spend most of my time counting my pension, trying to make one dollar do what two did before. GRHCE MORSE. Retire'? On a desert isle beneath a tropical moon raising goofus birds to supply goofus feathers to a goofey world, says CHHRLIENE HLLQN. In the words of the poet, Who knows? E. PHRKS. Retire? Yes, I hope so. By that time I should be able to organize an Pllumni Glee Club of mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, and a few grandsons and daughters, singing in the soprano part. When that happy day arrives, be sure to join us, you and your progeny. We'll sing Three Cheers for Torrance and really mean itl MHRIORIE EISCHEN. When I retire, with fabled riches, 'Twill be to a place for which I itches: H house, with roomy attic, In a land quite free from static, Where short-waves aren't so darned erratic. F. WEDDING-HRM. When I retire after making my first million dollars from school teaching I intend to lie on my back and attempt to get back the 25 pounds I lost during the last football season, and then let the rest of the world go by. B. I. DONHUHE. When I retire from teaching the youth, I expect to hitch up my Chevie, forsooth, Rnd hie me up to redwoods tall, Finally opening my home to orphans small. IRENE MILLS. Hfter spending my S3200 each month, I shall set around and gab with the other has-beens and tell about how much better we useta do things. H. B. FINDREWS. When I retire, I expect to set my alarm clock for six o'clock every morn- ing so that I may hear it ring and then turn over again for a good long snooze. I-lfter I make up a few years of early morning sleep, I want to go places and see things in other countries. ETHEL BURNI-IRM. I hope to visit the public libraries and read the articles giving advice to parents on raising their children and then write to the authors, inquiring if they have tried out any of their suggested schemes of child-raising on their own children.
