On April 19 the orchestra went to the Annual Central Washington Competition Festi- val in Ellensburg and received a rating of "excellent," Nine orchestra members were chosen to play in the Festival Orchestra. G. Hibbs. C. Wiggins. B. Drake. and R. Dalton played violin, clarinet. sousaphone and flute solos. respectively. at the Festival on April 18, 3602 In its second full year of organization the band. under the direction of Mr. Hardman. has continued to win a reputation for itself. It has played at all home football and basketball games and most of the games in other towns. They participated in the annual fall and spring concerts. as well as other assemblies and programs. On April 19 the forty-piece band competed in the class B division of the Annual Cen- tral Washington Music Festival at Ellensburg, receiving a rating of "g0od."
