itaemcalixc-sive caezmocamianiieiae om Qalleaeszee Glllssmiwa megyooiaoiome Although many of the 75 teachers worked most of the school year without signed contracts and salary increases, they tried not to allow that and a year of trying negotiations to affect their classrooms. ln the fall, each department evaluated its course offerings, and later the teachers assisted National Honor Society members in a school-wide curricu- Ium evaluation. Some teachers served on committees to plan for the arrival in 1980 of ninth graders, and others helped select new textbooks for their departments. Two diversions teachers enjoyed were lunch-time badminton matches and several social events. These and' other school activities helped to turn teach- ers' full attention back where they wanted it - with their students.
