The squad finished 6th. Bruce Noe, '80, and Kent Wallace, '79, finished 8th and 10th respectively to pace West. The women also competed, with Sara Yeager, '80, finishing 8th and Julie Browning '81, coming in 13th. The difference between this year's and last year's teams was that ev- erybody had their best times last year in the state meet. This wasn't true this year, said Coach Joe Schrag. Even though the Chargers failed to win state, they won the city and re- gional meets. lt was the eighth straight year the team has captured the city crown.
