Animated by the zeal of Christ for the salvation of souls. he has utilized his opportunities in Catholic education. His untiring efforts have given to Topeka a Catholic high school that has competed with the best high szhools of the nation and has acquitted herself honorably. His fervor and that of the other Priests of Topeka have brought to realization the desire of our heartsf-a new high school building. The greater T.C.H.S.f' frrf The adoption of the plans for our new building brings satisfaction. not so much because our hopes will have been fulfilled. but because our school will have increased facilities for wielding the educational power that is hers. The school will be greater only in building: in inspiration. ideals. and leadership she will be the same. lt is our prayer that the guiding spirit of Xlonsignor Xlclnerney will remain for many years. 'Klore things are wrought by prayer than thou hast dreamed in thy philoso- phy '." said Horatio. and the statement is as true today as when hrst it fell from the lips of its longfago author. l.et us then continue our prayers that God will shower His blessings upon all who assist in the realization of our dreams. 1'..x.'e Su QUR PRESIDENT Reverend Monsignor Mclnerney, L. C. take with you your fears That the school won't be run. as it has been these years That you've been in charge. XVe know that you're great, But right here and now. we'd like to state We're right close behind. with our brilliance aflame. To show you all up, when we have your name. The school has been helped by your presence, we know: Youve brought up her fame. helped her prestige to grow. But we. too. shall work. and the new schools hall.
