O-ek? IF7 sg y A , . 43 WX a ,fe L D Classical Club HE CLASSICAL CLUB, under the faculty supervision of Dr. Tooker, has' been rather inactive up to the present time. Various circumstances have combined to make it necessary to postpone meetings several times, with the result that only three meetings have been held so far. The group did not hold its first meeting until November 20th when the club was reorganized. Those returning from last year's membership were Diggs, Bettes, Easley, Murphy, jones, Rorty, and Kirkpatrick. These men may therefore be considered the reorganizers of the Classical Club. During the year several new members have been taken in who have maintained honor grades in Latin and Ancient History, and who have shown an active liking for the Classics. Mac Diggs was chosen President of the Club to succeed George Medill, and Bettes retained his last year's position as Secretary. Mr. Beveridge, the honorary member, has always taken an active interest in the affairs of the club and this year is no exception to the rule. On December 11th, Jenkin jones addressed the meeting with a well prepared and lengthy discourse on Roman Private Life . Dr. Tooker gave an interesting and amus- ing talk to the club February 12th on Classical Inscriptions . These two regular meet- ings and the one for the purpose of reorganization, summarize the activities of the Clas- sical Club up to this point, although, doubtless, more meetings will be held before the close of the school year. gs ..
