The 1929 TRAIL we e at e be Entered TOME 1928 Will enter Amherst THE bright aureole of the rufous follicular covering of Lucid has shone over foot- ball helds like its well-known namesake the Ambrose Light, which welcomes travelers back to the U. S. A. His favorite recreation has seemed to be ink-fights with his buddy Wood. The marks made by the ink have sometimes been reflected in other marks in a conspicuous place not unknown to Mr. Bates. The 1929 TRAIL 'Q-ee so c o bs? WALTER RAKER KERSHNER Shamokin, Pa. WALT Quill and Tome Club, '29, Glee Club, '29. Christian Association, '29. J E 5 i. Fifty-Me Entered TOME 1928 Will enter Pennsylvania IT HAS taken members of the faculty and some of the rest of the school a long time to find out whether Kershner was Zar- ing or Zaring was Kershner, they have been so inseparable. Walt, however, cannot be heard coming as Zaring can, so we are grad- ually learning to listen instead of look. Kershner's activities in the year he has spent at Tome have been literary and musical, and we are sorry he was not with us longer.

As winner and runner-up in suc- cessive years of the Maine State Champion- ship he has added luster to the name of Tome and has manfully upheld its honor on many links. His honors in his studies have been even more consistent, but we foresee difficulties ahead of him at Princeton, where he will not have the aid and comfort of Bill Hanway. .
