The 1929 TRAIL wa - -DQ' March 1929: 2nd-Second team squelches Downtown team 43-38 in post-season cage fracas. 3rd-Reverend Mr. Russell, of Oxford, Pa., addresses school. 5th-Hopkins Glee Club, Banjo Club, and Orchestra perform creditably before assem- bled Tomesters in Memorial Hall. 6th-All-Society basketeers swamp Belair High, 51-18. Sth-A. H. Krieder, airplane builder, speaks to Aviation Club. 9th- 10th 1 2th 15th Tome Swimmers win South Atlantic Championship for 6th time by beating their nearest competitor, Poly, by 27 points. Bastian breaks the B. A. C. record in the 220. Norma Shearer in The Actress on the screen. -Reverend Paul S. Atkihs speaks on Temptation Q' -Bill Hanway elected Captain of next Year's swimming team. Fats White chosen manager. -Annual Tome Board Banquet held at Nesbit Hall. Mrs. Gordon Brinley speaks to school on Chaucer. 16th-The TRAIL goes to press. all W3 A7 'S-fg Sixleen

All-Society basketball team vanquishes West Nottingham. 8th-Richard E. james, school-boy aviator, talks to Aviation Club. Law and Koppe given places on Evening Sun's All-State Soccer Team. 9th-Swimmers defeat Poly, 51-17. Soccer eleven bows to Gillman, 2-0. Bettes and Rorty attend Princeton Christian Convention. Basketball team noses out Emer- son Institute, of Washington, in exciting battle, 27-26. Reginald Denny in Red Hot Speed on the screen. 10th-Reverend W. H. Micheals speaks on Ambition . 12th-Photographers begin to get group pictures for the TRAIL. 14th-Olympians beat Pythians, 24-20. 15th-Donald Kirkley, movie critic for the Baltimore Sun, speaks to the Quill and Tome on Movies as Literature's most Dangerous Competitor . 16th-Woodberry overcomes Tome quintet at Orange 31-20. Swimmers swamp Peddie, 38-24, in meet here. Soccer team beats Rockville A. C., 1-0, in final game. All-Society vanquishes Gilman 3rd team, 29-17. Colleen Moore in Oh Kay provides movie entertainment. 17th-Reverend J. J. Coale preaches. 19th-Dr. Tooker talks to the Classical Club on ancient wall inscriptions. 20th-Wenonah Military Academy succumbs to Tome in basketball battle, 41-30. 21st-Tome quintet bows to Gilman in overtime clash, 42-34. Pythians win third game of Society series, 27-23. Pease elected 1930 Soccer captain. Hoagland ap- pointed manager. 22nd-Midwinter Festival. Tea dance at 4:30 P. M. Dramatic Club presents The Man who Died at Twelve O'clock and Deceivers in the evening. Prom starts at 10:00 P. M. 23rd-Prom ends at 3:00 A. M. Farewell tea dance at 3:00 P. M., Bert Lown having provided all music. Glenn Tryon in The Kid's Clever at the Cage. 25th-First track practice. 27th-Tome finishes a very successful basketball season by ignominiously losing a rag- gedly played contest to Wilmington High, 60-51.
