Dec. 19-And so another term passes. Merry Christmas to youse guys! Same to the masters? jan. 6-Christmas cheer is past. Lord help the poor working man. jan. 7- Abdul de Bull Bull Bettes returns to school with a greatly enlarged harem on his hands. jan. 8-Mr. Shaw takes charge of a French class. The class learns something foreign to the French language. Stop me if you've heard this one. jan. 9-10:15! Mr. Sasscer says that the basement boys are able to take care of them- selves, and he plugs up his ears with cotton. jan. 10-Cold today. Typical Dixie weather. Sherburne asks Tiny Price if it's cold up where he is. jan. 11-Diggs and Shepherd try to look scholarly at the semi-annual meeting of the Cum Laude Society. Dr. Brush misses' several boxes of his nickel cigars. jan. 12-Jack Beaudry refuses a movie contract, saying that his education must come first, but that afterwards he might consider the offer if he has time. fan. 15-Webb sees and reads Bad Girl for the first time. Wonders why they allow such books at Tome. fan. 14- Mutt James and jeff Rae are separated for 120 minutes on account of classes. Go in a body to fix it up with Dr. Brush. jan. 15-Woodbury, star soccer player, trips over ball and breaks his ankle. fan. 16-Dr. Tooker tells Ford and Rorty that coffee should be put in cups and not on tablecloth. jan. 17-Murphy had a hard night in Baltimore. Sleeps till 11 o'clock and tells Mr. Bates that certain things had to be done. jan. 18-Gene Lockhart entertains the student body. The Tome Orchestra and Palmros also ran. jan. 19- Bug Face Barron sings sweetly during the movies. The movies weren't so good either. A jan. 20-Stiemle, Tome sheik and Tome bum, enjoys the afternoon in the company of the fair sex of Port Deposit. jan. 21-Another week has departed. Cukor wants to know where it went. fan. 22-Bill Easley starts talking up the dance. Sixty fellows and eight girls so far. fan. 23- Red McCord, social lion of Rochester, endorses Ed Pinaud and Listerine as essential assets to popularity. jan. 24-Freeman Hawrin has another date with local talent and decides that Maryland isn't so far behind Illinois after all.
