These faces soon learn that they are Rats. 20 -Sherburne begins his third year in Ancient History. Mr. Beveridge is hopeful. 21-Rat rules go into effect. Campus takes on the aspect of a funeral as rats bid good-bye to bright raiment. 22-Familiar noises heard in the direction of Pat's Shop- Spally has returned. 23-From the looks of the collection plate, the starving Armenians will continue to starve. 24-Ward begins his fourth year in Caesar. Dr. Tooker is not hopeful. 25-Cukor has been looking for joe all day. Who is this new Rat? 26-joe's brother and sister, Harry and Kitty, are reported about the campus. 27 -After counting them seven times, Zaring makes the startling discovery that there are thirteen stars over the pulpit. 28-Mr. Beveridge appears at football game with strange headgear. just an old Scotch custom, boys! 28-Bettes takes his suit to joe Pethersky and tells him to have it ready for the 30 1- Hill game. Optimist! -All traditions are broken. A quarter appears in the collection plate,--the culprit is still at large. Beaudry desires to meet some Port Deposit womeng we advise him to get in touch with Goof Ward. 2-Correspondence department for lovelorn. Results gmaranteed-See Murphy. 3-Mr. Tuttle organizes Cross-Country squad. All we hear is Spallholz. 4-Society of Woman Haters organized. Prominent members of school affected. 5-Cottage shovel-wielders and tobacco-chewers hold forth till wee sma' hours. Dr. Tooker is querulous and tu agen the next morning. 6-Freeman likes Port Deposit night life, but Mr. Bates informs him it isn't being done. 7-Another Sunday comes around. It seems Mr. Sellew isn't yet familiar with the organ. 8-Monday and the good old mystery-meat for dinner. Ask Mr. Lamb. He knows! 9-Nettleton, G., second Pop Warner, swears that the Olympians will beat the 10 Pythians. -Pythians defeat Olympians. Nettleton, G. continues to swear. One Hundred and Forty-four

Keep away from him, boys! 12-Rats are told by a certain member of the Student Council that they are inferior to the old boys. As if they needed a reminder! 13-Ford oliiciates as linesman at the football game. His attention was not on the game, however. 14-Mackie comes to town and bums a cigarette. Same old Mackie! 15-Spallholz informs everybody in general that he won the Lake George Mara- thon last summer. We believe him. 16-Jones discovers that the milk is sour and threatens to leave school. Thank heavens we arenit all of the same mind! 17-Societies resume hostilities. Coach Nettleton decides to take up polo. 18-After making Lee wait a week Bettes decides to write. No woman can make a monkey out of me , says Ducky. May we add that she's too late to dc that. 19-Mr. Sellew delights morning chapel with the appropriate UQ finale. As Milton says- Come and trip it as you go, on the light fantastic toe . 20-Tome migrates to Hill. Biberman attends the game with a girl. It must be his money! 21-No vespers! Mr. Lewis waxes wroth when he is applauded by the assembled diners. 22- Doc Waters announces that Tome has taught him at least two things during his stay hereg the art of chewing tobacco and a number of new stories to tell the boys back home. 25- Goof Ward receives his daily special delivery letter, and Rorty works the shovel overtime to keep the room habitable. 24-Olympians and Pythians battle to a scoreless tie. Berkheiser tries to imitate jack Dempsey but Mr. Wolcott insists that football is a gentleman's game. 25-Dr. Tooker begs DeVausney not to ask so many asinine questions. DeVausney manifestly demands the meaning of asinine. We of the great unwashed must be enlightened. 26-Tommy Rowe deposes Bug Face Barron as Tome School's smoothest demagogue. 27-Football game with Emerson attended by many co-eds from the capital city. We hear that it was a fine game. 28-Sunday. Mr. Arthur falls asleep in church. 29-Kershner buys a pack of Piedmonts because no one in the Cottage smokes them. 30-The classification results are known. Numerous Rats discover they're not so bright as they thought they were. 31-Olympians are bested in Hnal game by the Pythians, 12-0. Ford foils Coach Nettleton's trick, play by clearing the playing field of an inolfensive head gear.
