The 1929 TRAIL wee- ee e -1 - - Q bog Baltimore City College, which the visitors took over 3 to 1. The clever footwork and fine coordination of the Collegians proved too much for the rather slumped Blue and White. The next Tuesday Severn was beaten 1 to 0 in a fast game. On the very next day another game was played, this time with the Aberdeen booters, and the outcome was 1 to 0, again in favor of the Tomesters. The traditional Gilman foes were next met twice within two weeks, in the most important games of the year. In the first of these, a fast, well-played game, featured by exceptional performances on both sides, Tome's soccer warriors well earned their 2-1 victory. The second Gilman game, the only one of the season played away from the home pitch, was contested in a drizzling downpour and dense fog. Gilman's two pointers, made by Purnell in the first quarter shortly after the game had started, proved to be the only goals made. Gene Hire was the mainspring in Tome's playing. Booters from the Rockville Athletic Club dealt the Tome men a 1-0 defeat in the final game of the season. ' Those men who so well deserved their minor T's were Captain Law, Captain-elect Pease, Earl, Hasson, Koppe, Bailey, McCord, Sansbury, Meyer, Hire, Barr, Rodgers, Warburton, Harrell, Clagett, and Manager Sherburne. Since the reserve material on hand has been admirably developed it is hoped and thought that next year will see an equally successful season. Captain Ted One Hundred and Twenly-one
