GLEE CLUB The Glee Club has worked hard this year under the direction of Mr. AT CANDLELIGHTED TEA Hayden. Included in their numerous activities have been three concerts, fall, winter and spring. In civic affairs the club appeared on a program for the Ladies Aid and for the Women's Club Annual Christ- mas Program, the Candlelight Tea. i The Glee Club always sings for the Baccalaureate Service and Grad- uation Exercises. 193 ss Q x J HONORS JAMES HALE was a delegate to Boys' State last year and was chosen for the Best All- Around title from the Senior Class. James has been president of the Letterman's Club, a band member, and has been very active in athletics and other school activities. PAULA MITCHELL was the school, and dis- trict oratorical contest winner, and placed fourth in the state. Paula is a new student here at Tombstone, but at Bisbee, she was on the honor roll and was in the Student Body play. WANDA JOHNSON is one of Tombstone High School's outstanding students. For three years now, Wanda has been at the head of the honor roll, missing it only once. This year, Wanda is secretary of the FHA and has always been active in this organization. and she is also student council representative from the Junior Class, ESTHER MONTIJO was a delegate to Girls' State last summer. Esther was chosen Best All-Around by the Senior Class and has been an officer in the GAA, FHA, class, Spanish Club, Student Body, WASP, and Annual Staff. She was head-cheerleader this year and was elected Football Queen. She got a pin for be- ing the best commercial student in her class, and has been on the business department honor roll and the school honor roll. HERMAN FISCHER was another delegate to Boys' State last summer. Herman has been very active in his high school years, and was given the title of Most Popular by the Senior Class. He is a member of the Letter- man's Club, band, and has been very active in football and basketball, MACIA DEVERE was another delegate to Girls' State and was the DAR Good Citizenship con- test winner. Macia was given the title of Most Likely to Succeed by the Senior Class. She has been an officer in her class, FHA, Spanish Club, and the Student Body. She is also classes editor for the Annual and member of the Wasp Staff, besides being on the honor roll. NORMAN DARNELL was also a delegate to Boys' State. Norman is a band member and was chosen as the Most Consideraten from the Senior Class. He has also been active in track and basketball, and has been on the honor roll,
