Boeder, I. Schmidt, G. Wilson. First Row: Mrs. Krueger, M. Von Haden, C. Eberdt, J. Burroughs, R. Fischer, B. Goff, B. Tway, D. Krahn. The Commercial Club this year was sponsored by Mrs. Krueger. This organization is for stu- dents taking commercial courses, who plan on entering the business world in the future. Each meeting of the club was planned by a program committee which consisted of three or four members. At most meetings, a speaker from one of the downtown business places was pres- ent. These various speakers told students about their particular fields of business and what was expected of workers in that business. This not only helped to provide an interesting program, but also helped students understand more clearly how businesses are run and with what problems they are confronted. Several members of the club helped in the telegram booth at the carnival. This was spon- sored by Mrs. Krueger. The members of the club presented a Com- mercial Club Play , which dealt with business life. Special attention was also given to personality this year. It was felt that it is as important as ability in holding a job. Officers are: president, Joyce Burroughsg vice- president, Erwin Horningg secretary-treasurer, Neva Boederg and club re Jorter, Rosalia Fischer. l
