lfirst in importance in school are the ins dividuals who make up the student body and the faculty' the people. ln Book One are represented those who combine to carry out the educational program of the year: the departing seniors, the school board, the administration, the faculty, the two classes of .Iunior High School, and the three remaining Senior High School groups fthe freshmen, the sophomores, and the juniors. The curriculum of study at Tomah High School covers a large field-flinglish, physical sciences, social sciences, languages, physical education, mathematics, and vocational sub- jects. lrundamentally a school activity, clubs contribute much to the academic life of the school by supplementing classwork. ln addition to the regular classes, there are the music and forensic departments, which function like voluntary classes, included in Book Two. Apart from co-curricular work on carni- val, prom, contest play, and Christmas pro- gram, athletics is a scheduled activity in school. The boys participate in football, basketball, boxing, volleyball, and baseball, girls are organized in a G..-X..-X. club. Both engage in tennis and swimming sports. lnter-school meets are held for nearly every sport. Included in Book Three is the history of the year, from registration through graduation, as well as a page devoted to the youth of Tomah who are in military and naval service.
