She has been here for eight years and feels: lt's a good school. lt of- fers a lot of courses. The whole atmosphere is good and I like the faculty and students. l Col. Ray Fridrick attended Mis- sissippi State University to re- ceive his BS and MA. He has been here for 16 years. He sponsors the Drill Team and is the Presi- dent of the City of Tolleson Re- creation Fund. Mrs. Shari Fleming attended Grand Canyon College where she received her BS, This is her fifth year here. She sponsors the cheerleaders. Mr. Charles F. Friess went to ASU where he received his BA and MS in Industrial Education. This is his third year here. He feels that more women should be in his technical classes. They are not, and are of the areas that they can benefit in. Mr. M. Morris has attended Ari- zona State University and re- ceived his B.A. in education, and Vocational Certificates. FACULTY Mr. Ed Cooper attended Prescott College and ASUg he has a BA and is currently working on his MA. This was his Llthyr. at Tolle- son, as Wolver-Newsadvisor. He feels that Tolleson has had an amazing change like black to white. Mrs. Charlotte Dehos attended the State University at Buffalo. She now holds a BSand MS in Art Education. This is her fifth year here. 166 Mr. Ken Cummings went to the University of Alaska, Anchorage and ASU. He holds a BA in educa- tion. This is his 6th busy yr. He has been busy by sponsoring the senior and junior class, and as the Department Chairman of So- cial Studies. Mr. Phillip Dennete received his BA at Pittsburg State College. He has been here 13 years. He spon- sors V.l.C.A. fthe Industrial Trade Arts Clubbandthe Number 1 Club. Mr. Tom Dahl was enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where he received his BS in ln- dustrial Education. He has been here for two years. He feels lt's a nice place to work and teach. Miss Christie Elder entered Fort Hayes State University and Wich- ita State University to receive a BS and MS. In herfouryears she feels: I really like itmore, other- wise l wouldn't be here. Mr. Jerry Dougherty entered Phoenix College, ASU and NAU, and has a BA and MA. This is his 16th year here. When asked about Tolleson he stated: We have a lot less problems than anyplace else. Ii. Mr. Phil Evans attended State University of Brockport and Rochester Institute of Technol- ogy to receive his BS and his MS. He has been here for three years. and feels lt has improveo drastically. . .more of unity thar there was before.

FACULTY Mr. Alfredo Franco Gamez at- tended University of Milwaukee and the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He has been with Tolle- son for two years. When asked how he feels about Tolleson he gave a famous quote from Victor Hugo. He who opens a school door, closes a prison. KM ,,,.., T il! lxll t' Mr. Ron Harnish has been with Tolleson for 5 years. In the past he attended Kent State, ASU, and Youngstown State Universi- ty, and received a BS and MS. He works with the Future Business Leaders of America. 168 Mr. Larry Gottlieb has attended U of A and received his BA. He then received his MA at ASU. Mr. Gottlieb stated The schools getting better all the time. 41 A it, 'Q This was Mr. Bob Hensler's fourth year at Tolleson. He at- tended Arizona College ofthe Bi- ble, and ASU. Mr. Hensler has sponsored the special Olympics at De Anza. He stated, From the time I started things have im- proved a lot, in general. Mr. George Gutierrez attended NAU and ASU, He received his BA and MA. Mr. Gutierrez coaches Varsity football, Varsity tennis and Freshman football. He is also the sponsor for the Letterrnans Club, Yvonne Hutchinson has attend- ed NAU, Mercy College of Nurs- ing and holds MA in counciling. Ms. Hutchinson sponsored Hope and V.l.C.A. She has taught for 12 years and she feels that this school has had a tremendous growth and a more attractive campus. Monty L. Anderson has taught here for six years and coaches football and softball. He attend- ed Central Washington State University and ASU to receive his BA and MA. Q A Mrs. Sue Hysong attended NAI and received MA and a BA i education. Mrs. Hysong ha been here for 2 years and he sponsored our Varsity Volleybz and girls track. She feels the sti dent body seems to be alway working towards improvement.
