Band Cn The Road To California Tolleson Marching Band went on the road again to California in May to compete in the Six Flags Marching Band Tourna- ment. Earlier in the year the band competed at the A.S.U. band day in October. They re- ceived a rating of excellent. The band has improved a lot and has progressed a lot faster than in past years, stated Band Director lVlr. Ken Jaeger, we are trying to improve our final position by one spot this year. Two years ago we finished in the runner-up position to the Buckeye band. Marty Jackson cranks out a solo on his trumpet during a halftime show. AUTO SHOP Auto Starts Achievement Tolleson's auto shop was one of the finest and most up to date in the Valley. instructors Jerry Muir and Dave Brosius ran it and made sure it stayed that way. In these surroundings, certain outstanding students excelled and became some of autos best mechanics. Junior Murray Jones dem- onstrates to IVlr. Brosius, Auto 1-2 instructor, his tune-up skills.
