In the fall of l9hO, l8 shy little boys and girls started to school
at Tiro. They were Wendell Amstutz, Lloyd Betts, Lawrence Burkett, Ralph
Burkett, Connie Clark, Helen Sue Fox, Arizona Heckert, Kenneth Heckert,
Lois Hopkins, Carolyn Fagan, James Johnson, Martin Miller, Robert Norris,
Sam Pfahler, Barbara Pfleiderer, Junior Pickelseimer, Walter Steele, and
In the second grade we lost Connie Clark, Arizona and Kenneth Heckert.
Pauline Fetter joined us this year.
In the third grade Arland Caris, Duane Laughbaum, and Corliss Schiefer
joined our class and Wendell Amstutz, Lois Hopkins, and Helen Sue Fox left
Margaret Crall, Louise Gullett and Sarah Auck joined our class in the
fourth grade but Martin Miller, Ralph and Lawrence Burkett and James John-
During the fifth grade, Estil Collins joined us. No one left this year.

In the seventh grade we had two additions, Bob Kinney, and Bill Haymond.
During our busy eighth year in school Lois Tackett joined us. We also
had a swell time at our Christmas party this year.
At last! Freshmen. Gee we were the big wheels then. But the same
year Arland Caris and William Haymond left but John McGraw joined us.
When we entered our sophomore year we found we had lost Louise Gullett
and gained another girl, Nina Predmore. This was the year we sponsored the
high school party. We fed them a good lO gallon of home made ice cream and
lots of home made cake. Everyone had a grand time. This was the year too,
that found us adding gold to the jewels in our class. The class rings were
purchased this year.
In our junior year, we lost one of our best basketball players, Bob
Kinney. The name of our class play was NBabies' Night Out,N starring the
12 sparkling juniors, Sarah Auck from the sophomore class and 5 bouncing
babies. One of the high spots of our high school career was the junior-
senior banquet. We held the dinner at the Steak House and later went to
the Madison in Mansfield to see a double feature which included HBedtime
When we finally entered our senior year we found that John and Carolyn
had become Mr. and Mrs. McGraw, during the summer. Janice Triplett joined
us the first day of our last year. The senior year was the busiest we have
had yet. We published the Annual, nThe Tiro Tiger,U and presented the stage
production HMe and My Shadow.H These are a few of the high lights of our
senior year of all the activities we had to make money for our class trip
which took us to New York City.
Barbara, Lloyd, Bob, and Sam started in Tiro and completed all 12 years
at T. H. S. Miss Weidemaier sponsored our class from the seventh through
the twelfth grades. We hope to all be together again some time for a reunion

I have just come back from a trip around the world. On this trip I
saw many of my classmates from Tiro High's class of 'S2. ,
First I went to Washington D. C. to see the President about his views
on world peace. While waiting to see the President, I chatted with his sec-
retary, Margaret Grall. Margaret is not married and lives in a beautiful
home in our capitol city.
From Washington D. C. I traveled on to the East Coast, where I boarded
a streamliner that started me on my long journey. I always wanted to talk
to a ship captain, so I looked him up. Much to my surprise it was Robert
Norris. This was his first trip as captain so he was as excited as I was.
When I landed in France I went straight to Paris. I was in need of a
new wardrobe so I went to the most modern clothing store in Paris. There
Barbara Pfleiderer modeled the latest styles for me. Barbara is one of the
worlds best models.
Next I went to Venice, Italy, where I stayed in the most luxurious
hotel in the world. The owner of the hotel was Corliss Schiefer. Corliss
is married to a beautiful girl from Spain. He has a handsome set of twin
boys who favor their father in sports.
From Venice I traveled to Southern Africa. There I visited many dia-
mond mines. The owner of the most fabulous and richest mine is Sam Pfahler.
He is an eligible bachelor and a very rich one. Rumors have been flying
around, that Sam is courting Miss Alla Nicole, who was recently voted the
most beautiful lady in the world.
From Africa I continued on to India where I happened to run into Janice
Triplett. Janice and her husband own a thousand acres of land in India. I
stayed a month and it was one of the most enjoyable months of my visit.
After I was completely refreshed, I went to visit Australia. This was
an interesting continent because it had just won its freedom from England
and had established a democratic government. I had an enjoyable visit with
the President's wife, the former Lois Tackett. Lois and her husband own the
most beautiful home in the world.
From Australia I traveled homeward to the west coast of the United
States. I arrived just in time to see Duane Laughbaum set the world's
racing car record. The record speed is too mph. Duane has the reputation'
of being the best auto mechanic in the world. He is now married and lives
in a fabulous home in Los Angeles, California.
I just finished my long journey last week. I was about to close my
diary when I remembered Lloyd Betts, who now owns some of the richest land
in Ohio. Lloyd was recently voted the most prosperous farmer of the year.
Lloyd and his wife are the proud parents of two girls and one boy.
Oh yes, there is one more person who graduated with the class of 1952
and that is I, Nina Predmore. I reside in a moderate home in Tiro, Ohio.
About a year ago I won a trip around the world on a television program.
This is the ending of a beautiful trip sponsored by the Weidemaier Dog
