CLASS PUN On August Zl, l948, Donna and I decided to attend the World's Fair, which was to be held in New York City. As we were making our plans ' Donna asked, WIL-MA go along?. SHIRLEY not, l promptly responded, but she approves of my'going, When we left Cleveland airport at 2:30 P.M., the weather was ideal 'for flying. About an hour and a half after we took off, the sky became dark. I mentioned to Donna that a storm was coming up. Scarcely had I said it when a strong GALE of wind forced the plane to take a nose dive. This frightened us very much. Other than this one incident, our trip was very enjoyable, however. When we got off the plane at La Guardia Field, we hailed a taxi and went to the MAYFLOWER hotel to freshen, up for dinner. The main course of the meat was FRIED frog legs, which neither of us liked. After dinner We irnmediately went to the fair grounds. The first booth that caught our eye was Hercules, the Sword Thrower who was PEARCEing his partner. We then left this -gruesome side show to take in another one, where we saw a woman pounding ORE-WhILe-hER partner handed out souvenirs. Finally we left to take in the rest of the midway. We rode on all the amusements. While on the ferris wheel, we gaied below at all the merrymakers. When Donna rocked the seat, I gave one great ,kick and awakened from my dream to find that l had broken my toe. After summoning the doctor, he informed me that a MAGER operation was necessary.
