Our scarlet-clad band members have given inspiration and color' to the football and basket- ball contests. Vocal groups and band soloists have contributed their talents to many com- munity programs. When war came upon the nation on December 7, 1941 the students and teachers pledged themselves to assist their government to gain victory. In addition to carrying on the reg- ular' school work they have helped their country in many phases of the war effort. Pupils and teachers have issued ration books for food and gasoline, gathered scrap iron, waste paper' and tin cans. The High School Victory Corps has promoted the sale of War Bonds and Stamps. In every bond drive the Tipp City school system oversubscribed its qrrota. During the Fourth War Loan Tipp Students purchased 313.650 in bonds to win first place among the township, village and city schools of Miami county. Such results have shown that We have endeavored to put into practice the lessons of patriotism and good citizenship. When peace comes we shall have the satisfaction of knowing that we have done our part.
