Wi BASEBALL I957 95052, GYM TEAM I 957 TRACK 969, 'K-,K A , l JUNIOR VARSITY CHEERLEADERS VARSITY BASKETBALL Once our basketball team finally got tuned up this year, the results approached Coach Nimmo's ulti- mate expectations. The Tigers, after a number of tough early defeats, crescendoed to some not too surprising upsets at the end of the season. This drive should continue next year since every class was represented on the Varsity squad and the J.V.,s showed promise from their starters. D. M. DAVE MESH FOOTBALL In our first year of Varsity football the TIOGA TIGERS showed much promise for future years de- spite some heart-breaking losses. Next year Tioga will have many boys up from J.V.'s to add to the boys who have had Varsity experience. Although we had a below average season we gained much valuable experience for future years. DUANE HORTON BASEBALL Although Coach Nimmo's baseball team did not lead the league, they should prove victorious in the near future. The fifty-eight team will have outstand- ing veterans returning in Duane Barnhart, Bill Schweiger, and Arvin Dodge. The youth of our team show promise of a successful season this spring. TOM MAGNUS TRACK This, our first year in track, has proved to be a very successful one. Although we were victorious in only one of our three dual meets, we pressed the other two teams to the limit. In the league meet William lngraham took first place in the half mile. Several of our boys took second and third places. As most of this year's squad was composed of under- classmen, we should be even stronger in 1958.
