The junior year for the class of 1957 was a typical- N ly busy one. The class went B into its junior year with a big job facing them: to provide money for the -lun- ior-Senior Prom and Ilan- quet. Th: class accumu- lated its fund through vari- ous sales and dances, and M honored the seniors royally in the big annual formal affair. The junior class en- tered a float in the second Standing: Mr. Helmiek, adv.: Ken Jacob. president: Romer James, vice-president. The junior class play Our Hearts Were Young and Gay, was presented in February. Two of the A song leaders, Nancy Thomas and Sandee Martin, were juniors. The junior class was also representedin the AU yell leading with0Rosalie Zweifel. Three junior boys, Gene Widiimer, Jerry Ripka, and Allen Trotter earned letters in A squad football.
