MQQQQQQQQQQQQSTHE ACADEMWC2QQQQQQQQQQ9'1 situation, got scattered details and gave the alarm. From there Bonnie flew to the church. A policeman standing on Main street, a few blocks from the store, xvas watching a suspicious looking man who was walking swiftly down the street holding a very snrall boy by the hand. There was no doubt about it. There they were. The boy and the kidnapper filled the description exactly. The policeman called the station, and in a few minutes the siren blew and a patrol wagon rushed up. Two big officers grabbed the kidnapper by the collar, and before he knew what happened, they told him that he was under arrest. More policemen rushed to the scene. They took off the handcuffs, feeling very foolish. Uncle Ben gave them all cigars, and thanked them for the nice ride he had had, protected by a squad of officers. They laughed again as they climbed into the pa- trol and hurried away. All this time Bonnie had been in the church praying. She now descended the steps with new hope. Swiftly she ran home to break the sad news. When she arrived and saw Bobbie, she fell into the arms of Uncle Ben, sobbing hysterically. Finding him safe xvas such a relief.
