And the painted ponies go up and down. We're captured on the carousal of time. We can't return, we can only look behind from where we came, and go round and round in a circle game. Yesterday, a child came out to wander, caught a dragon fly in a jar. Fearful when the sky was full of thunder, And tearful at the falling star. Now the child moves ten times round the seasons, skated over ten clear frozen streams. Words like when you're older must appease him. And promises to make his dreams. Sixteen springs and sixteen summers gone now. Cartwheels turn to car wheels through the town, And they say take your time, it won't be long now, 'till you drag your feet to slow the circle down. The years spin by and now the boy is twenty, though his dreams have lost their grandeur truth. There'll be new dreams, maybe better and plenty before the last revolving year is through. 3 Note: Repeat refrain after each verse SENIORS rJ1 2 LU oc O z LU LT) u z LU CQ As a freshman. Doug Olcott was chosen for second team CVAC all star selection this year and Todd Bilow received honorable mention CVAC all star. The team captains were Todd Bilow and Matt Ko-lysko. The answer to this is quite simple. Spirit of Sound is a ten member, all girl show choir. For those girls who are in chorus and successfully audition, they become members of the group. Spirit of Sound performs at a variety of community, as well as school events. This past year, SOS sang at the Nursing Home, the Art Potter Show, and a Kiwaniis luncheon. The program was introduced at Ti in 1980 and has been growing every year. The main objective of the program is to educate high school students in democratic processes and ideals by taking over the many functions of New York State Government. After months of preparation and pre-legislative conferences, the program culminates in Albany. In December over 500 students from all over New York State take over every office and chamber of the State Capitol. Legislation passed by the youth legislature is presented to the real New York State Legislature. In over 80 cases, youth law has become real law in the State of New York. This year, Ti had the largest active delegation from any single high school in New York State. Student Council The Student Council got off to a fresh start this year with new advisor Miss Baker. Although the group had a slow beginning, they were able to accomplish a great deal. The students were able to get last year's Constitution ratified, have a school Christmas party, and initiate a spirit day. Miss Baker is confident that next year's Student Council will go a little smoother because of this year's foundation. R) Front Row: R. Fitzgerald, C. Cobb. R Dedrick, J. Strieker, S.
