W' .Time it Preserve wur. s'T. I which is ■ r a time to . . . let the world catch up with you } Dear Mrs. Bush, It’s difficult to say “thank you” for four years of patience and understanding. It’s difficult because “thank you’s”, especially written ones, sound either formal or insincere. We had thought, perhaps, of having a party or giving a speech in your honor. These are good ideas, but parties and speeches last only a moment. We wanted you to have something more permanent to show how much we appreciate everything you have done for us. We hope this letter may remind you of all the good, but trying, times that we have shared in the years that you have been our advisor. Mrs. Bush, thank you for being you, a very kind and wonderful person. Love. Class of '71 SENIOR CLASS OEEICERS Janine Craig. Treasurer Francine Leerkes. Vice President Mrs. Bush. Time, see what’s become of me While I looked around for my possibilities 1 was so hard to please. Look around. Leaves are brown. And the sky is a hazy shade of winter. Hang on to your hopes, my friend. That’s an easy thing to say. But if your hopes should pass away Simply pretend that you can build them again. Look around. The grass is high. The fields are ripe. It’s the springtime of my life. Seasons change with the scenery Weaving time in a tapestry. Won’t you stop and remember me At any convenient time? Funny how my memory skips Looking over manuscripts Of unpublished rhyme. Drinking my vodka and lime. 1 look around. Leaves are brown. And the sky is a hazy shade of winter.
